Business Associate Agreement
Last updated: May 20, 2026. This page explains Kluse's BAA workflow. It is not a final executable legal document.
1. When a BAA may be required
If a covered dental practice uploads PHI/ePHI or uses Kluse to create, receive, maintain, or transmit PHI/ePHI on its behalf, a Business Associate Agreement may be required before using patient workflows.
2. Upload lock
Kluse is designed to keep patient imports locked until compliance onboarding is complete and BAA status is signed or approved as not required for the current workspace configuration.
3. Request process
Workspace Owners can request BAA review from the Compliance Center. Kluse will review the practice profile and prepare next steps.
4. No legal advice
Kluse does not determine a practice's legal obligations. Customers should consult qualified counsel or compliance specialists.
5. Status meanings
BAA states include not started, requested, sent, signed, and not required approved. Patient imports remain locked unless the status allows it and all remaining onboarding steps are complete.
